NOTE: If you have any information on the whereabouts of the following specimens, please contact the TBRC Secretary.
Last Updated: 5 March, 2001
The following species are reported in various publications to have had specimens collected in Texas. The Texas Bird Records Committee (TBRC) of the Texas Ornithological Society has not been able to ascertain whether any of the listed specimens actually still exist, or if they do exist where they are located. Consequently, each such record is denoted in our documentation as S.N.L. (Specimen Not Located).
In the list below we provide what information we have concerning these unlocated specimens such as the reported date collected, county, etc., when available. The TBRC is very interested in obtaining information concerning any of the following alleged specimens such as the museum and file number where the specimen is housed. In some cases below, the unlocated specimen would provide the sole basis for inclusion on the official Texas State List if that specimen could be found. Any help would be much appreciated.
